Here is what I will expect from my teachers. If you do not follow this guide you may lose your job.
~ You are on at least three times a week
~ You update you class once a fortnight
~ You are fair to all students and do not favour those of your own house
~ You mark all homework tasks and pass the marks on to me so I can see how each student is doing
~ You set a good example for your students
~You have a valid reason for adding or subtracting House Points
~You are an active member of this community
There should be a new lesson posted in your classroom once every two weeks. That lesson should then stay open for a month before you lock it. You must take the roll during every class and report to me if there is a student who is repetedly not showing up. All homework tasks should be worth 25points.
Nearing the end of each year you should post a test for your students to take, on all the things you have studied so far. This should be a mix between a theory and practical test. This should be out of 100% and will help me to decide whether or not they are ready to pass on to the next year, that combined with their class marks.
Punishments and rewards:
~Teachers may not add or take away any more than 25 house points at a time. If the student deserves more you should bring them to see either myself or the Vice Headmistress.
~All detentions given out must be reported to me. I will then store this information in a students permanant record.
~A Professor has no right to suspend a student. If the crime commited is bad enough, the decision of there punishment will be decided by me.
~Teachers may reward students with housepoints, trips to Hogsmeade and a free period. The latter two are only to be used if the student has done something exceptionally great, these should be discussed with me.
~Thank You Kat Samules For The Teaching Guide!~
